Our amazing team
We Are Called To Serve
Everyone has been called to serve in one way or another. At the Community Kitchen, we have been called to feed Paducah’s hungry. Whether serving a meal or providing a safe place for patrons to shower and do laundry, we believe our most important task is demonstrating the undying love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We extend our hands not simply to meet a need, but in obedience to Him. Thank you for your volunteer hours, your generous contributions and your loving prayers. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Sally Michelson
Executive Director
Several years ago, Sally’s pastor asked if she would like to help feed Paducah’s hungry. She jumped at the chance! From the humble beginnings of a church-based soup kitchen to what is now an independently-operated, non-profit organization, Sally Michelson ceases to be amazed by all that God is doing in the lives of those the Community Kitchen serves each day.

Iris Hines
Kitchen Coordinator
Iris started volunteering in 2011 at the Community Kitchen after her home was flooded a few years ago. She wanted to give back to a community that has continually shown her love and support, especially in times of need. Iris is the face you’ll see in the kitchen, helping to coordinate menus, manage volunteer schedules and provide support to anyone who needs it.

James Robbins
Pastor
James has worked in the community for twenty-one years as a police officer and has been working with the kitchen to establish healthy relationships with those who are needing help. He has recently retired from the Paducah Police Department to serve as our Operational Minister and Pastor.
